Google searches and online bios have essentially replaced traditional legal directories when it comes to finding outside firms to hire, according to a panel of top legal officers who gathered in Denver this summer.
The panelists, comprising general counsel for companies like Circuit Media LLC and Video Professor, Inc., as well as Denver’s city attorney, pontificated on their needs when looking for outside counsel, and suggested ways one firm can gain an edge over another, according to a report on the meeting from writer and blogger Janet Ellen Raasch.
