About the Blog
My name is Rich Baer and I am General Counsel and Chief Administrative Officer of Qwest Communications. Although the thoughts I express here do not reflect the views of Qwest Communications, they do reflect my 27 years of practicing law under varying degrees of siege (from prosecuting homicide cases in Brooklyn, N.Y., to chairing a litigation department at a large Denver firm, to my current role). While there are a number of terrific blogs out there (see my blog roll), I thought I would occupy my little corner of the blogosphere posting about a few areas:
- the leadership and strategic issues with which general counsel are currently grappling,
- outside counsel as viewed through the lens of a crusty corporate client, and
- areas for innovation in the practice of law.
