If you’re sick to death of wondering and worrying about the requirements and expense of litigation holds, help may be on the way. The federal Judicial Conference is on the case, and there seems to be a growing consensus on its civil rules advisory committee that the answer should be a proposed change to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.

A proposal could come as soon as April, and for many firms it couldn’t come soon enough.
