Court System to Host Pro Bono Expo on Thursday

Attorneys interested in learning about the state court system's pro bono programs are invited to an expo on Thursday from 5-7 p.m. hosted by the Access to Justice Program of the New York State Courts at 111 Centre St. Available opportunities do not involve ongoing representation, but are limited to working in courthouse help centers that focus on housing matters, family law issues and consumer debt difficulties, among other issues. Several attorney volunteers will be honored during the expo, including Reginald Boddie and Leanna Caccioppo, Resolution Assistance Program in Housing Court; Jacqueline Cara, Guardian Ad Litem Program; Jonathan Coats, Volunteer Lawyer for the Day Program in Housing Court; Paul Frankenstein, Consumer Debt Program; Leslie Gales, Foreclosure Program; and Rene Kathwala, Family Court Project.
