As Democratic Party leaders prepared for their candidate designation convention, attorney general hopefuls sought yesterday to align their own ethics and anti-corruption platforms with that of their party’s standard-bearer for governor this fall, Andrew M. Cuomo.

Mr. Cuomo’s long-awaited announcement over the weekend formally cleared the way for the attorneys who would like to replace him in the post that he has held since 2007.
