Cahill Gordon & Reindel on Wednesday broke ranks with other New York law firms by announcing associate bonuses that exceed the market rate, sources said.
Cahill partners told its 184 associates individually yesterday that they can expect an initial bonus ranging from $10,000 to $25,000 and then in January the firm will likely pay a year-end bonus that matches the $7,500 to $35,000 rates set by Cravath Swaine & Moore and other firms, two sources familiar with the discussions said.
