The Berks County senior judge appointed by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court to review juvenile cases in Luzerne County will begin expunging court records for an estimated 800 youths in June, according to a notice issued by the high court Tuesday.

Before he does so, however, Senior Judge Arthur E. Grim will also provide copies of those records to “eligible juveniles, their parents, guardians or legal representatives,” if they request such copies in writing and provide a reason for the request. Grim previously wrote in a report to the justices that some juveniles would want the records for use in civil actions.
