Perhaps Rodger Gordon has a valid point. This 43-year-old law student at Georgetown University Law Center recently grabbed national attention by taking a leave of absence from school to appeal his recent court loss to the U.S. Supreme Court.
Gordon is arguing that he should be permitted to sit for the California Bar Exam after just two years of law school. He notes that he should not have to incur substantial debt and spend an entire year enrolled as a third-year law student when two years in the academic setting more than suffices to pass the bar. Moreover, he points out the inconsistencies between requirements for part-time and full-time students.
