Law firm bills that simply listed the amount a client owed for “services rendered” long ago went out the door when those clients became skeptical of whether the dollar figure reflected the actual work that had been performed. In their place have come detailed bills breaking down how many tenths of an hour were spent by each attorney along with a description of just what that lawyer did during that time.
