A settlement has been reached in the defamation lawsuit filed by former Widener University School of Law professor Lawrence J. Connell against the law school’s dean, Linda L. Ammons, and two of his former students.
Attorneys for both parties confirmed that a settlement was reached and that a motion to dismiss the lawsuit was filed Wednesday in Superior Court in Sussex County, Del. Thomas S. Neuberger, the Wilmington, Del., attorney representing Connell, also confirmed that his client is no longer employed by the law school but declined to provide more details.
