A Delaware County trial judge has ruled that recent amendments to the state’s Public School Code barring Pennsylvania schools from hiring candidates with certain prior criminal convictions does not apply to current employees.

Delaware County Common Pleas Court Judge Chad F. Kenney granted a preliminary injunction in favor of two Penn-Delco School District employees who were fired over prior criminal convictions they had previously disclosed at the time of their hirings.
