The First Judicial District is making its civil filings available to the public online today.
When the FJD’s e-filing system was first rolled out three years ago, the filings on the e-filing system were only available to lawyers and other members of the public — who were not parties to a case or counsel to parties in a case — by looking the filings up on computers in City Hall. Now with the FJD’s “eCommerce” system, members of the public can purchase filings through a new, separate application.
