A federal judge denied SAP’s motion for summary judgment in a patent infringement suit against the software giant in which, he stated in his opinion, there could be a billion dollars at stake.
In a case brought by CSB International in 2010, U.S. District Senior Judge Ronald Buckwalter of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania ruled that arguments about whether or not SAP committed willful infringement must be explored through a full trial on their merits.
