Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Judge Leon W. Tucker issued a brief order in July denying Cozen O’Connor’s bid to be able to forgive $450,000 in legal fees incurred during U.S. Representative Bob Brady’s 2007 mayoral bid, but the judge expressed in his follow-up opinion last week his disdain for the outcome of his decision.

Tucker issued an opinion October 10 in Cozen O’Connor v. City of Philadelphia Board of Ethics urging the Commonwealth Court to uphold his July decision that Cozen O’Connor would be bound by annual campaign contribution limits if it wanted to forgive Brady’s debt to the firm.
