Covington & Burling is to open an office in Shanghai, following the hire of five lawyers from Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati.
Only two of the lawyers will join the firm in China. The other three are based in Silicon Valley but have been heavily involved in Palo Alto-based Wilson Sonsini’s China practice, including former practice leader Carmen Chang.
