Known as a fearless litigator, Eduardo Roberto Rodriguez says he once brought a six-pack of beer in a paper sack into a courtroom and set it in front of a jury. His purpose during that mid-1990s trial, Rodriguez says, was to convince jurors that drunken driving, not a defect in the driver's car, had caused a fatal accident. The tactic worked.
