The term “rogue contracting” is probably one of the more dynamic phrases to be bandied about at a virtual legal tech conference, so much so that the Corporate Legal Operations Consortium even folded it directly into the name of one of its virtual Global Institute panels Tuesday.

But the “Fast-track Your Contracts, While Eliminating Rogue Contracting” session was really more about the importance of driving the adoption of contract life cycle management tools among key stakeholders than it was about misbehaving agreements. Not all CLM tools and processes are being used to their full potential, but guest speaker J. Bennett, vice president of operations and corporate development at Signifyd, argued that the main reason wasn’t due to spite.
