The International Legal Technology Association (ILTA) announced Wednesday night that ILTACON 2021, which is taking place both online and in-person at the Mandalay Bay hotel in Las Vegas, had its first confirmed case of COVID-19. An email from Dawn Hudgins, vice president service delivery for ILTA, sent to all ILTACON in-person attendees noted that “an employee of a contractor working with ILTA to support ILTACON has tested positive for COVID-19.” Due to applicable privacy laws, ILTA was not permitted to release any personal information on the employee.

However, the email went on to state that “the individual had been working in Oceanside B [Wednesday] and we are not aware of any prolonged close contact between the individual and any other conference attendee. This is not someone within their role who would have come in direct contact with any attendee.”
