The legal technology job market soared to never-before-seen extremes from January well into the summer of 2022, but as recession fears swelled in early Q4, the year ends with job market trends shifting dramatically. Here are the top five events that impacted the legal technology job market in 2022.

  1. Demand for ediscovery project managers hit a record high

TRU tracked more ediscovery project managers (PMs) changing jobs in the last two years than in any other consecutive two years. In 2022, TRU also received more job orders for ESI PMs than any year prior. More than 90% of these roles were replacements for departed employees, not add-to-staff positions.
