The New York State Bar Association held its annual Presidential Summit 2024 on Wednesday, titled “AI and the Legal Landscape: Navigating the Ethical, Regulatory and Practical Challenges.”

The two panels that comprised the summit were split by the tongue-in-cheek designation of “Fun Parents,” and “Non-Fun Parents.” The former focused on how judges, attorneys and the NYSBA is approaching the incredible potential of generative artificial intelligence technology, while the latter stressed the ethical and regulatory concerns that can accompany its use.
