Litéra (www.litera.com) has entered into an agreement to acquire SoftWise, which offers software that helps legal professionals automatically create documents. SoftWise’s products include Innova, MacroSuite, Metadact, and Out-of-Sight. President and founder Bill Robertson will join Litéra as executive vice president of client development, and will serve on the company’s executive committee, said Litéra’s CEO, Deepak Massand.

Litéra is based in North Carolina; SoftWise (www.softwise.net) in New York.
