Gawker lawyer Michael Berry had a tough sell.

The Levine Sullivan Koch & Schultz partner in his opening statement on Monday told a St. Petersburg, Florida, jury that when Gawker published a secret recording of pro wrestler Hulk Hogan having sex with his friend’s wife, it was “important and lawful” and part of “the marketplace of ideas.”
