Tell us about your top U.S. Supreme Court or federal appeals court victory over the past year and how you and your team achieved the win.

Our biggest victory was in the U.S. Supreme Court in Seila Law v. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the case on the constitutionality of the CFPB’s structure. Most Supreme Court cases are won or lost on the briefs, and this one was no different. We had an incredible team led by me and Masha Hansford, who is now serving as an assistant to the solicitor general, and featuring associates from our Washington, D.C., and New York offices. Our briefs in that case were some of the best I’ve ever been associated with.
