Two Midwest-based Big Law firms have established new footprints in the Washington, D.C., lobbying market, as they seek to help regional clients navigate the regulatory changes and government contracts expected under a new presidential administration.

Taft Stettinius & Hollister made a decisive move earlier this month by creating a Public Affairs Strategy Group, staffed by a group of 14 professionals, seven of whom formerly worked at fellow Am Law 200 firm Ice Miller. The group operates out of the firm’s Indianapolis office and a newly established location in Washington, D.C., located across the street from Capitol Hill at 101 Constitution Ave.
