Welcome to The National Law Journal April edition! When the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change released its annual climate assessment report in late February, unsurprisingly, it was another dire warning of disasters to come. While the report underscored the urgency to develop climate resilience against the backdrop of a narrowing window of time for action, private and public stakeholders are feeling increasing pressure to implement concrete measures to narrow their carbon footprint and implement tangible sustainability guidelines.

“Greenwashing”—the attempt by a company to falsely convey an impression of being green—is no longer a viable option at a time of rising climate awareness, international protest movements and consumer demands for corporations to act socially responsible.
