Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, Holland & Knight and Squire Patton Boggs ended the first half of the year on a high note, with lobbying revenue increases in the second quarter, while Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck and K&L Gates fell short of their first-quarter earnings, according to Lobbying Disclosure Act filings on Thursday.

Similar to the first quarter of this year, law firms with lobbying businesses tied to Capitol Hill reported significant activity surrounding must-pass legislation such as the Farm Bill and National Defense Authorization Act and the implementation of major legislation.
