U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Chair Gary Gensler and Commissioner Mark Uyeda appear to be on different tracks for advancing the SEC’s proposed climate disclosure rule.

Gensler, on a faster track, said Tuesday that the agency should move ahead with the proposal. But Uyeda said the commission should consider re-proposing the climate disclosure rule if it deviates too far from the original proposal.
