Veteran trial lawyer Michele Roberts has left behind the law firm world — and Washington — but she remains a litigator at heart.
In July, Roberts was voted executive director of the National Basketball Players Association in New York. No stranger to major career shifts, in more than two decades of practicing law in Washington she went from the public defender’s office to partnerships at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld and, most recently, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.
