The U.S. Army could properly remove a cadet over multiple disciplinary infractions and order him to repay the cost of his West Point education, valued at $226,000, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit ruled on Tuesday.

A three-judge panel of the Manhattan-based appeals court held in a 38-page opinion that West Point’s separation procedures satisfied due process requirements and that a former cadet’s challenges to its regulations could not be reviewed in federal court.
