Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. on Thursday lost its bid to halt the New York State Liquor Authority’s ongoing investigation into whether or not the entertainment entity’s adverse attorney policy violates the terms of its liquor license.

In a ruling from the bench, Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Arthur Engoron denied MSGE’s motion for a preliminary injunction and granted the SLA’s cross-motion to dismiss, finding that the petition was premature.
