A Nassau County judge issued a $22 million verdict against a former pediatrician accused of serial sexual abuse of numerous child patients, including a now 41-year-old woman who says the ex-doctor abused her from infancy to near-adulthood.

Justice Leonard Steinman on Friday issued $17 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages to the plaintiff named as Jane Doe A.R.1
