This series has taken a close look at the weaponizing effects parents’ use of social media can have on children involved in a divorce hearing, and demonstrates the need for better protection for this vulnerable population.

For the reasons explained in the series, the Uniform Rules of the Trial Courts should be amended to include a blanket prohibition against disparagement through harmful social media posting, and this prohibition should be included in every preliminary conference order entered in matrimonial proceedings involving minor children.
