More than a year after a Manhattan jury returned a $10 million civil rape verdict against famed filmmaker Paul Haggis, plaintiff’s firm Emery Celli Brinckerhoff Abady Ward & Maazel is still attempting to collect the judgment.

Much of the litigation has centered around Deborah Rennard, Haggis’ ex-wife, as the award-winning director has repeatedly claimed he does not have the funds to pay the damages a jury awarded plaintiff-turned-judgment creditor Haleigh Breest. Haggis, known for films such as “Million Dollar Baby,” has also denied the allegations.
