Much has changed this year, but our commitment to recognizing professional excellence among New Jersey lawyers has not. More than ever, the achievements of law firm litigation departments and in-house legal departments warrant recognition. And while the work that went into these submissions was done in 2019 and before (seems like a long time ago, doesn’t it?), the impact on clients, the law and the profession are lasting.

We’ve asked these Litigation Departments of the Year and In-House Impact honorees to share some thoughts with us, and as usual, the responses do not disappoint. We asked them about the year that was (2019) and the year that, by contrast, highlights why it’s so important to remain nimble, and to prioritize innovation and leadership (2020). We thank the honorees for sharing these insights, and hope our readers will find them as valuable as we have.
