Tax lawyer John Eagan left his post as the managing partner of insurance law firm White and Williams’ New York City office to continue his career with Ballard Spahr starting Friday.

Eagan’s departure dealt the latest blow to White and Williams’ attorney roster, which lost a total of 16 lawyers so far in 2021, many of whom were significant rainmakers and practitioners holding leadership positions. The firm, based in Philadelphia, also has offices in Cherry Hill and Newark.
