A settlement of $1.5 million was approved on Sept. 26 in Camden County suit Gutierrez-Ramirez v. Mama, M.D. for a 7-year-old child who suffered complications at birth resulting in a brachial plexus injury to her right arm.

According to court documents and counsel, the child, Katelyn, was born on Sept. 7, 2015, at Cooper University Medical Center. Due to her size, the child became stuck in the birth canal during delivery resulting in shoulder dystocia.
