A New Jersey nursing home operator, in the midst of a labor dispute over a group of Connecticut businesses, is seeking removal of the administrative law judge presiding over its case at the National Labor Relations Board.

Care One filed a suit in federal court in Newark, New Jersey, claiming that it is a party in an “illegitimate,” decadelong NLRB proceeding, and that an ALJ assigned to the case, Kenneth Chu, is “an illegitimate decisionmaker.”
