Jaguar Land Rover was hit with a product liability class action on Aug. 9 in New Jersey District Court. The suit, filed by Stone & Magnanini, Wirtz Law and the O’Connor Law Group, alleges that a battery defect in 2019-2024 Jaguar I-PACE electric vehicles prevents them from reaching the advertised range on a full charge. The suit further contends that in some instances, the defect causes the vehicle to catch on fire. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 2:23-cv-04281, Joyce v. Jaguar Land Rover North America LLC.
