Practice offerings understandably run the gamut, though there are some patterns. Alternative dispute resolution/ADR is a listed capability for many firms, as is some type of insurance-related practice. No fewer than 25 firms list a cannabis practice. And the term “real estate” appears nearly 80 times in the column documenting practice areas.

Not too much can be gleaned from the list when it comes to changing strategies on firm management, though over the years we’ve seen firms revamp how they run their operations, with some having opted to split leadership duties among a pair or group of attorneys, rather than a single managing partner. (It can be noted, for instance, that nine leaders named here have some form of the title “co-managing partner” in their titles). More broadly, business leaders such as chief operating officers have come to take up a greater share of firm leadership in some quarters.
