A driver and her passenger netted a combined $1.1 million settlement after a delivery truck crashed into the side of their vehicle on Route 18 in New Brunswick on a snowy night.
According to court documents and a press release, just after 10:30 p.m. on Feb. 18, 2021, Mercedes M. Mercado-Reinoso, 50, was driving her vehicle with Jacinto Peralta, 58, traveling in the passenger seat. The two were traveling south on Route 18 at the intersection of George Street in New Brunswick when Jose B. Gutierrez-Dominguez, who was operating a 2018 Ford E45, crashed into the driver’s side of Mercado-Reinoso’s car.
