Patent jury trials are on hold in the Eastern District of Texas until at least March due to COVID-19. But it sounds like full steam ahead in the Western District of Texas in January.

Although he didn’t directly address specific trials, U.S. District Judge Alan Albright sounded bullish at an IP conference Friday. “We are going to take even additional steps to make things safe over what we did before“ when the judge presided over a patent trial in October, he said. That will include additional fans to help ventilate the courtroom and more hand sanitizer. “Every month in we know a little more about this,” he added.
