A Houston attorney for Koch Industries violated a due-order-of-hearing rule in an attempt to avoid Texas jurisdiction in a tortious interference and conspiracy lawsuit, the First District Court of Appeals found.

The defense counsel’s error thus exposed Koch defendants to a trial in Harris County district court. The First District also reversed the trial court’s dismissal of all claims brought by the plaintiffs, Triten Corp. and its subsidiary, International Alliance Group (aka TritenIAG).
