Delonia Watson, a Harvard University graduate and former federal prosecutor, is making her third attempt to get on the Second District Court of Appeals. She will have to defeat Justice Elizabeth Kerr to get there.

Watson, a Democrat in Tarrant County, lost to Republican Dabney Bassel in a 2018 challenge for the Place 5 seat. She lost again in 2020 to Republican Mike Wallach for the Place 6 seat. In both races, the victor won by large margins in a district that remains a GOP stronghold.
