A South Korea-based auto parts manufacturer supplying fuel pumps to Hyundai Motor Co. was unable to persuade a court of appeals it should not be under Texas jurisdiction in a personal liability suit.

Hyundam Industrial Co. Ltd., one of three defendants being sued by the estate of Johari Kibibi Powell and her three minor children, tried to avoid litigating the case in Texas, claiming in its second amended special appearance that it was based in Asan, South Korea, and had no offices, officers or manufacturing facilities or customers in Texas.
