The Commonwealth Court has sided with the Allegheny County Health Department in its lawsuit to uphold a closure order against a Pittsburgh restaurant that allegedly operated in defiance of Gov. Tom Wolf’s shutdown orders at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

A three-judge appellate panel consisting of Judges Renee Cohn Jubelirer, Michael Wojcik and Ellen Ceisler affirmed the Allegheny County trial court’s decision to impose a preliminary injunction shutting down the Crack’d Egg restaurant in Pittsburgh, which county authorities alleged defied reduced capacity orders and mask mandates in April 2020.
