Sacks Weston has been sued by litigation funder Virage Capital Management in Texas state court for breaching a $5.79 million loan agreement.

The lawsuit, filed on March 24 in Harris County Court, amplifies the woes for the Philadelphia-based firm, which saw former name partner Scott Diamond receive a prison sentence earlier this month for stealing from the firm. At his sentencing, current partner John Weston testified that the federal charges had damaged Sacks Weston’s reputation.
