A California federal judge granted summary judgment Tuesday to Qualcomm Inc. in the antitrust multidistrict litigation over the semiconductor giant’s “no license, no chips” policy.

Plaintiffs alleged Qualcomm leveraged its position as a cellphone chip manufacturer and a licenser of patents that must be used to comply with technical standards in the industry to stifle competition through allegedly exclusive deals with Apple Inc. and Samsung Electronics Co., which raised prices for handheld device consumers.
