Baker & McKenzie has made it official: Its San Diego office is kaput.

The firm announced today that it is closing the 11-attorney office as of March 30 and laying off seven lawyers and more than a dozen staff. As The Recorder reported last month, some of the firm’s lawyers will be relocating to San Francisco and at least one moving to a new firm. Partner Colin Murray will relocate to Baker’s San Francisco office. Partner Charles Dick will move to San Francisco and practice here until summer, when he plans to retire.
