SAN FRANCISCO – After searching for a legal leader for 2 1/2 months, flash-memory developer SanDisk Corp. has hired Mark Brazeal as its newest chief legal officer and senior vice president. Brazeal joins the company from Irvine-based fabless semiconductor manufacturer Broadcom Corp., where he served as deputy general counsel for 14 years.
Brazeal, who could not be reached for comment, received a promotion eight months ago at Broadcom, moving up to senior vice president and senior deputy general counsel. Although Broadcom’s headquarters are located in Irvine, Brazeal worked in the company’s Sunnyvale offices. SanDisk is based in Milpitas.
