SAN FRANCISCO — About one-sixth of Irell & Manella’s attorneys left the firm to form a high-end litigation boutique in Southern California. The new firm, Hueston Hennigan, launched Monday with seven partners and by Tuesday had plucked about 25 associates from Irell.
“We had kind of an embarrassment of riches. We had no idea that so many of our colleagues would be willing to follow in our ranks,” John Hueston said of the bountiful crop of associates. “We had a lot of unsolicited requests to join.”
